Initially, activated carbon is utilized to reduce chlorine levels, followed by the ion exchange resin to lower calcium content. Each cartridge has an extended lifespan of up to 30 days and is easily inserted into a specially designed holder that can be effortlessly placed at the back of the coffeemaker's water reservoir. This package includes 2 cartridges, providing a consistent supply for a span of 60 days.
Custom-engineered for optimal performance with the Mr. Coffee easy measure 12-cup programmable Coffee maker and the Mr. Coffee dish washable* 12-cup Coffee maker (available for separate purchase), these water filtration cartridges boast a 2-step filtration process. The activated carbon component effectively diminishes chlorine levels in the water, while the ion exchange resin feature reduces calcium presence to enhance the overall taste of your coffee. It is important to note that the electrical base, power cord, and plug of the dish washable Coffee maker are not dishwasher safe and should never be submerged in water or any other liquids.
The Mr. Coffee water filter, combined with the brewing process, is capable of removing up to 97% of chlorine from the water, resulting in a purer coffee experience. To install the cartridge into the holder, simply open and close the hatch before inserting the holder into the designated slot located at the back of the water reservoir. Remember to remove the holder along with the cartridge whenever you clean your Coffee maker. It is recommended to replace the cartridges on a monthly basis (or after every 30 tank refills). Therefore, you can utilize the dial on the water filter holder to set a reminder for the current month. Additional cartridges are available for purchase separately.
Compatible with the RF, lm, and AM series, it is advised to consult your Coffee maker's instruction manual to identify the specific series you own.
